Jim Wertelka assists our AirplanesUSA customers in the Southern Wyoming area, and joined our team in 2014. Jim learned to fly at the New Lenox Howell Airport in northern Illinois in 1997, and later found a job at the nearby Joliet Regional Airport as a lineman, aircraft fueler and office assistant. He has flown numerous Cessna and Piper models of aircraft and has gained extensive experience flying cross country for a local doctor who had lost his medical certification. Jim was there to fly with Dr. Mullin whenever he needed a travel companion, and it was a great experience builder and pilot development opportunity for Jim.
In 2011 Jim purchased a partnership share in a Piper Warrior. He desired, however, to own something unique and with more performance and capability, and is currently building a Nieuport 17 French WWI Warplane.
He continues to fly a Piper Archer from Scottsbluff, Nebraska – often with his wife Karen. Give Jim a call anytime. We are proud to have Jim Wertelka on the AirplanesUSA sales team!
